CompUSA return policy?

I recently bought a monitor from CompUSA. It is faulty and doesn't not function properly. I have everything it came in except the original box. Would I still be able to return it or have it exchanegd?

You should be able to. Just call up the store that you purchased it from and ask.

They usually have their return policy on the back of the receipt.

I've taken items back to CompUSA without a problem...

You say, "recently" how recently? within 30 days they would.. Beyond that you're probably dealing with the manufacturer’s warranty.

Depends on the specific store, mgr. etc. and of course how much you whine! I asked once what they do with returned products, they send 'em back to the manufacturer and receive credit.... so they don't lose anything over it.

... go for it.

I bought 6 days ago. So I am still in the return time limit. It's just that I read the back of the recipt. It said for returns and exchanges, the original box and all it's manuals and accessories must be bought back. I have the manuals and accessories but not the original box.

But the receipt says nothing about defective items. Would I be alright returning/exchanging this item without the original box?

(I tried calling the store but it goes to voicemail.)

I'd say nice, but it's only reasonable for them to scan the new one, and let you put the defective one in the new box, and leave with a new monitor, no box. If it involves a MIR they might get weird, just tell them you're not getting the "new" upc.

The sly way is to call them and ask if they'll accept it as a return. If not, go buy another one. Then put the 1st one in the 2nd box and return it.

It should tell you what happens if you don't have the packaging, probably you can only exchange it.

I just called and they finally picked up. I said I recently bought a new monitor and it's defective, and I want to return it but I don't have the original box. She just asked how long ago was recently (6 days), and she said sure.

NICE!!! I don't have to keep this poop like monitor.
It's an Envision EN910e. From my experience, I warn people to stay away from this company as far as I know.

I'd stick with a company like Samsung. I've had the synmaster 17gli for like 5 years without a problem, but for some reason one day, it burned. lol Could smell the burning circuits and everything.

that's good they were nice to you... I know a lot of people don't like compusa, a friend of mine included has had trouble returning items... isn't their return policy 14 days? I can't be sure though. I've never had any problems with them myself though.
