2 reseller ratings questions

I just posted a review...and I noticed where it lists "number of posts" or whatever, that it only showed 2.

I was under the impression that it showed the number of techimo posts......

Anyway, it showed 2 reviews but I cant remember which other store I reviewed. How can I find out..I didnt see a search function for that sort of thing...I probably over looked it....but if not, that would be quite helpful, to be able to look at all the reviews by a person..for instance if they slam a vendor you might see that they slam all the vendors, lol.

Either way, how can I find out which other vendor I reviewed?

That is a good question John, I think that would be benifical to have a search function like that so you can weed out the bad guys in the review ratings. Like you said, thier might be one who constantly always gives bad ratings and a person can then make a better judgement on the value of that persons rating.

On the RR topic, did y'alls see the question "Is this review helpful?" Yes or no radio buttons?

It really shouldn't show the number of techimo posts as they are two different sites it should only show the number of reviews you've posted. I totally dig the search function that you suggest as well as some way to check your own reviews.

Come to think of it, it could really help the Mods/Devs of RR since people who are bored **cough** me **cough** could read up reviews of other people and it could help weed out fake reviews.

It would also be cool just to see the positives and the negatives or at least a sort by rating feature. For instance a company has 4000+ reviews you just want to see their 400 negative reviews without scrolling through all of them to get an idea of what they are about.

Last week we made changes to the system - it will now only show the number of ResellerRatings reviews, not forum posts. We also added sort features to review pages so you can show the dissatisfied reviews first, etc. We're working on a user profile system where you can click on a username and see that user's reviews etc.

Cool addition to the site, Scott. With the filtering/sorting by rating, there seems to be an issue with sorting by bad ratings first with some ratings. As with Newegg's for example, it shows many positive reviews when sorting by bad-first because of ratings that are old and do not have any data from the newer ratings fields.

Errr...well, ok, looking at the dates (hello jon!), it seems these ratings are not that old, but do not contain any field info so their overall satisfaction is listed as () and show up first in the list of BAD reviews.

Perhaps () can be taken as neutrals by the sort code?
