these people are a security risk.
Someone in another state was able to log into my acct with them and place and order FRAUDENTLY, and change the shipping address to that other state. BUY.Com keeps your credit card online and I saw no way to delete it. So someone just logged on and charged away and changed the shipping address to theirs. Buy.com canceled the order for me and closed the acct....but no explanation of why or how they let this happen and no word from them on whether they are pursuing this crime now or not. Really makes you feel safe and secure doing business with them(sarcastically). They don't seem to care or take fraud seriously and from my recent experience their server is NOT secure as they would have you believe. Further, they have no phone number to contact them in an emergency like this, only an email form. I am filing credit card/fraud reports with the police and law enforcement agencies against the ship to address AND buy.com for allowing this to happen. They have yet to give me a reasonable explanation of how this could have happened or what they are doing about it, so I have no other alternative but to be suspicious of them as well. All they sent me was an email that they closed my acct and asked me to register another one...real customer oriented there, buy.com....I wouldn't buy from you people again if my life depended on it. Ok, I just called and they are investigating it, I will update as I hear, and if they truly show they are customer oriented I will change my review...right now I am very frustrated and distrustful..and I have bought things from them over the last 3 yrs.
THey should at least have an option to NOT keep your credit card on their server. ...t
