Newegg Tech Support

I was just curious. This question has crossed my mind before. Newegg offers ZERO tech support, right? So how is it they have such a rating in RR on their tech support? Are they offering tech support to those who ask for it?

I have had no problem with their tech support, I emailed them once and they were quick with an answer, plus they sent me out a new driver disk (shipping broke it).

Seems it's just a cost saving measure. Most resellers have crap tech support anyway, much better to go to the manufacturer.

Ditto

TechIMO support works well, and it's free.

SJ, has the Optorite burner working out?

It would be better to say there is none and give the best, then to offer the best and give none.

Amen to that! If you can't get help here (or over at XPC), chances are you can't get help.

Someone needing tech support from Newegg? Luckily, I haven't had any problems with anything I have ordered from Newegg.

I have to agree with the opinions stated so far.

I whish more on-line vendors would follow New Egg's structure on this issue. Every on-line reseller that I have dealt with over the past 4 to 5 years which offer tech support has been very poor -- at best.

IMHO, New Egg puts their resources where it counts: top notch customer service and great prices.

They do the right thing by recommending you go to the manufacture for tech support or using tech advice from great forums like TechIMO J and the like. I find more reliable & practical info browsing these forums than from some tech support person from a on-line vendor.

Burner's workin' great! Thx.

I understand their not having Tech Support. What I was wondering is how they have so many people giving good tech support ratings when there is no tech support? What kind of support is being mistaken for tech support?

I think probly half the people who rated them well in that category were happy enough with them in general that they just clicked 10 and went on.
