More and more I am finding that the rebates are a disguise for a lousy product and they are just trying to clear the shelves.

compusa and envision rebates

I am so sick of this crap I made my own web page. Compusa offers a $50.00 rebate on Envision monitors. I bought one but over 4 months later and I still have not received a penny and they are saying there is nothing they can do.
I hate extended warranties but if they sold an extended warranty for getting the rebate I'd buy that! Here is the address of the website I started.
www.myexperienceatcompusa.com
Please check it out and if you email me your experiences there I will add them to the page.

I have used many mail in rebates over years of computer building and have been lucky , drive maker cendyne went out of business while I had a pending rebate with them and Staples made it good , sent me the rebate anyway .
Some are real slow but I notice if I send the rebate near the end of the rebate deadline for mailing it in , I seem to get the rebate much faster ?

I have several rebates from easierrebate.com (for OfficeMax rebates) that took them more than 4 months to honor their rebates.
There is still one, the K-byte 256mb DDR 2100/2700 memory, that they received on Aug. 19 and still have the same message "Your rebate is valid and is in the final stages of processing." since that date!
I have e-mailed many times to OfficeMax and Easierrebate.com and I have telephoned them many times (because the line was busy most of the time) and today I am still waiting.
