I want to start a thread on wireless number portability, considering the fact that it will be a reality in just days. I've been going through sites to get info and thought I'd share ones that I found useful:

I love the idea behind number portability but there are several problems here.

1. I'll be getting charged from att for this and i don't plan to use it. i love my service and calling plan. Not sure how much att is going to add-on to thier cuctomers bills but they have stated they will be charging some surcharge.

2. even if I want to use it due to the fact that i'm under contract with att they don't have to release my number until/unless I pay fines/penalties for leaving my contract early.
