ASUS treats it's customer's well!

I recently bought a couple of refurbished motherboards-ASUS A7N8X-Deluxe and the ASUS A7N8X-X. Both came without the backplate. I caleed ASUS and they asked for my address and said they'd send them right out. No charge! That's taking care of your customers. I called 1-510-739-3777. Both boards work like a dream by the way. The A7N8X-Deluxe didn't come with the USB or Firewire bracket but I hook those headers to the front of my case anyway so I don't need them and the installation CDs were missing but the drivers are easily downloaded. Just thought I'd pass this along in case anyone was thinking about buying a refurb ASUS board @ Newegg. ASUS, ABIT, andAOPEN motherboards, Lite-ON and Samsung CDRW drives, and Palit Microsystems, ASUS, and ABIT video cards have all been great and without problems when I've bought their products as refurbished @ newegg.

Thanks! I just called them up and they're sending me an I/O shield for the A7A266 motherboard that I just bought on these forums. She said that they would send it out priority mail tomorrow or I could pay for faster shipping. (What's faster than priority mail?) It's pretty cool that they do this for their customers.

They are also good on rma's. however, if you need technical support, you'll likely be up the creek.

Both backplates arrived in the mail today. 4 days after I called!

I bought the A7N8X-X, it's crap, I had major problems then it died, after a month.

I searched google and loads of people seem to have the same problems, you must have been lucky rourk.

I love ASUS boards, but for me the CS wasn't too good. I bought a P4PE Black Pearl with the special 32mb thumb drive (didn't need the drive - it was free) but it would not work. Windows XP wanted drivers and ASUS said there were no drivers "It will work with XP" without drivers. After the first email, the decided not to reply to the others I wrote. I assume it works on 98 but no go on XP.
