1 returned router, didnt seem to work right at all
However between the initial shipping and the shipping to send it back, I ended up paying for about 20% of the cost of the item, but oh well.

They returned the subtotal price fine and waived the restock fee, guy seemed coherent and nice on the phone

WTH is going on with Newegg? I called Friday to see what the status of my RMA was [having it as PROCESSING since Monday], and I was told call back later, the system was down. OK, so I did. When I called back I was told that they were out of stock of the needed replacements and would be emailing me? I asked if he could just tell me what the email was about and we could discuss it on the phone. He told me they were probably going to offer me other products or a refund, but that I would have to wait for the email.

Well, there's no email, Newegg. I really despise getting the run-around. You tell me to wait, but you yet again do not come through on your word. I am beginning to loathe these guys. The last ordeal I had was with them not refunding shipping costs, despite their assurance, of a case that arrived trashed. Why do I feel like a lone pair here?

I haven't had a problem with Newegg. They are usually my top choice when ordering something.

The only time something dies in this house, is when I kill it!

Hmm... guess I've been pretty lucky. I bought stuff from Newegg, Compgeeks, and Softwareandstuff (now Surpluscomputer) without any problems. One time I did buy a hard drive from Upgrade Solution which was a rip off (great prices, junk products).

SJ , I feel for ya brother!!
Iv'e had 2 orders:
2-IBM Deathstarts that got packed poorly so they clanged together all the way from LaPuente to Michigan.. (musta been a NewUntrainedMoronEgg hehe) and a SolteK SL75KAV which was a VIA686B POS that had a bad controller -- that's been it for the past three years ! I also did cross ships , used UPS for return and BTW I have had cases beat up -- but usually could straighten out the dings enough to use 'em....
I sure wish they'd box up those "pie plate" stamped cases better !

Well, I finally got 3 emails from them last night. But only after "bitching" Saturday [in an email] on how the guy on the phone shuffled me off to watch for an email that never arrived and that since it was Saturday I could not call to get things resolved.

But anyway, I prefer things get resolved without having to "raise my voice", or so to speak. Cheers, Newegg. At least it was resolved. I can say there have been purchases in the distant past I still recal that did not go nearly as "smooooth". Not what I would call a rep to hold on a pedistal, though.

Looks like I'll be parting out the rest of my goodies from that system, as it's the wrong time of year to be buying myself presents, even if there is a refund CHECK IN THE MAIL.
