Thanks for the info. Something like this is worth repeating every once in a while.

This PayPal scam is nothing new. I'm surprised I haven't gotten one here in the past couple of months. And, yeah...I did get something like that iseeu_3. I got something about the Bank of China and me inheriting money. What a crock.

Just for laughs I filled the info on that page using fictious info. It logged me in and took me to a screen to fill in my credit card info(of course).

They have a script that checks to see if you are entering a credit card number that follows the proper format so I found an old card that has been canceled for years (I'm a packrat)

Anyway it took me to this page:

Credit Card Update Process Successful!
Credit Card Account Number : 4121-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX
Expiration Date : Jan-2004

Your Credit Card has been approved *(pfffft, riiiight), and placed on your eBay account.

The card will be authorized for your use and will be billed during routine monthly invoicing.

You can view your account status at:
ViewAccountStatus

And people fall for this?

*(even if I hadn't canceled it, that card would have expired in 2002)
