DVD + - R / RW Media
I bought a daul format Optorite DVD burner from NE, should be here tommorow.
I was wondering what my fellow Timo members are using with good sucess as far as good DVD + - R / RW media .
The only media it looks like I should not buy are the Optodisc and Princo brands.
Who makes the "good stuff" and where is the best place / price to find it?
Thanks
WB

The Verbatims I've used (-R) have been rebranded TDKs. I've had great luck with TDKs. You can get them at B&M BestBuy stores for $2 ea in spindles of 50 or 100. Riteks are OK to for about $1 ea from the major online supply houses like Meritline.

I use Ritek dvd+r media...good stuff, cheap and never had any problems with the 300 or so disc I've burned. http://www.rima.com/Merchant2/mercha..._Code=1641-100
You can buy them from the above link in 100 or 25 lots.

Yea, Optodisc and Princo aren't the best. My drive will write to them, just not at 4x. Maxell, LG, & Ritek have been working great for me.
If you're going to go with Ritek, you can get them from http://www.resellerratings.com/seller1007.html |

If you are going to buy. the only one to buy is Memorex... they are a maker and not a re-brander.
The only DVD+R and +RW I will buy.
Not one coaster with their brand..

Memorex makes their own now? They were re-branding Ricohs.

I've never had luck with anything Memorex. I consider them cheaply made. I always will reccomend Fuji, TDK, or Maxell. I most of the time use Fuji or TDK. It just depends on which one is one sale. I've got the Sony DRU-500A so I can burn in every format. I haven't seen any problems with any format that I have tried from any brand I have listed above.

Just checked. My mistake. The Verbatim -R's I have are Ritek G03's. The Khypermedia's are TDK's. Riteks are OK for movies but I get skipping in FMV on my PS2 with Riteks. No skipping with TDK's.
