Has FedEx ever done this to you?
I had a package due for delivery Friday. Thursday morning I checked the tracking just to check if it were to arrive early. The site said that the packaged arrived at the station from which my FedEx packages are delivered from after the delivery departure time (the usual time anyway). not that it really mattered, because I wound up being home all afternoon that day after getting home from school. What's weird is Friday after getting back from school I had to head out of town and when I checked the tracking number Saturday, it claimed that delivery had been attempted both Thursday and Friday. The time it said on Thursday was a time when the house was full, and no FedEx man had showed up. And no delivery attempt sticker had been left on the door Friday as done every other time I have missed a FedEx package. I called them up to ensure the address on the package was correct, and it was.
What are they doing? Is the delivery guy not in the mood to deliver the package and just claiming he attempted delivery?

I have never had that happen, but I have had the site state "On fedex vehicle for delivery" for 4 days straight while there was always a person there to accept the package. I think I am one of the last stops for our fedex driver and she just skipped me for a few days.

Well you can do two things.
If you got your package you can just drop this and move on with your life, but if you did not call them and complain, ALOT, especialy to a manager.
This is not only to be mean, although that is an apealing factor, but after 3 failed attempts I believe that they ship the package back to sender. I could be wrong about that.
Even if this was a computer glich, most people go by whats on the computer. Can't blame them since its the only thing they have to go on.
But I have found out that if you don't complain and b#$%! you will be walked over and forgoten.

Fed ex home deliivery is subcontracted to individuals. It is possible a route driver logged your package as attempted, without actually stopping.
Complain to the local office, if the driver is "scamming" a few extra stops, it should be reported.
I order a lot from Fed Ex, and luckily whoever "owns my route" provides excellent service, never had a problem.

I noticed that they just changed the delivery trucks for their delivery here in town. They used to have the big FedEx trucks. now they're driving around in Enterprise rental vans, as Enterprise is doing an unlimited miles special. So maybe they went independent on their couriers up here.
Anywho, I'll call them up and give them an earful this afternoon, especially if my package has still not arrived. Someone is trying to tell me to stay away from NewEgg...FedEx never screws up with my other deliveries, only those from NewEgg.

That's alright, I'm still waiting on a package that, apparently, has already been delivered. I've called the company, and the driver responsible for my route was supposed to call me back, but so far, no such luck.
BTW, did I mention I'm still waiting on the package. |

I left a note on my door telling the fed-ex guy to leave my package on the steps. I signed the note so that he could copy my signature if he wanted. My package was by the door when I got home from work. It was a newegg order too.

Never had a problem with them. One package delivered left at my door ( hidden fortunately ) with a note on the door. I'm suprised they just left it there, but I'd already had a few packages delivered from FedEX so the guy may have remembered that and knew someone should be home ( my wife was..but sleeping ).

Well, package arrived today. I will have to call FedEx tomorrow, I don't feel like messing with it this evening. (nooo, I'm not a procrastinator)
