Does anyone know what is going on with Micro Pro? I have been using them for about 6 years as a reseller and they no longer answer any of their toll-free numbers yet their website is still running.

http://www.micropro.com

Anyone who lives in Cleveland, Ohio let me hear from you!

Thanx in advance!

I'm about as far as you can get from Cleveland and still be in Ohio, but... MicroPro used to have a HUGE presence at the computer shows here in Dayton. Over the past couple of years that has been shrinking, and I haven't seen them here at all in a year. Hope you don't have an order in progress with them or something. That kind of sign doesn't bode well.

Thanx for that information!!! I had read, under the Micro Pro's ratings that some recent customers were having similar problems as I was reaching the company... One review said and I quote:

"Sign on door says "Temporarily Closed". Drove 60 miles to find that...."

No, thankfully... I didn't have any recent orders pending but I have done thousands of dollars of business with Micro Pro over the past 6 years and they have always been dependable / reliable backing their warranties, etc.

I haven't done that kinda business with them, but had good experiences. In fact the machine I'm writing this on has a MicroPro case badge on it. Hope it's one of those "reorganization" things.

Systems closed

Their website is now down too.

I guess my one year onsite warranty for the computer I got 3 months ago is not terribly good

Their attention to detail on my new system was not too good either:

1. The side door on the case was jammed shut. I was able to finesse it back to its rightful position.

2. The RAM chips were put in the wrong slots for best performance. That was easy to correct.

Oh well! Maybe I'll have to get a CyberpowerPC.com PC.

Things could be a lot worse.

They are gone as in see ya. I had a friend run by there place and there is a temp closed sign but he looked in the windows and it's empty. Even the desk are gone. You may want to check the warrenty when I bought a computer from there 5 years ago they used a third party to handle all of their onsite warrenty work. I noticed something funny when I got a new video card this summer and it was shipped from California and Micro Pro was not even on bill or shipping papers.

The computer has worked fine. Once I reinstalled the RAM chips. Hopefully I won't need any service. Thanks for the updates. I assumed they were gone when their website disappeared.

Who should I buy my next computer from? I really like custom computers with each component hand-picked by me.

I hated Micro Pro, gave 'em a bad review too.
They screwed me over on a "brand new" retail video card that had more than enough evidence to convict them for fraud.
I never sued, but they deserve it for the way they treated me.
How many people out ther buy something that is supposed to be sealed just to find out it is sealed with six pieces of transparent tape and open it up just to find fingerprints all over the card and the card performs at sub-standard levels. Then they accuse me of buying an "OEM" card based on what I told them and showed them via pictures. Anyone who screws their customers over shouldn't be in business in the first place.
