Im looking to buy a radar gun on www.ebay.com Im just wondering how trustworthy this site is, since I have never used it before. If anyone has had experience with them I would appreciate your input.

You will get difference responses from different members.

Just make sure that you look at the readers reviews. There are alot of awesome dealers on eBay, and then there are a lot of scum bags on it too.

I have purchased two things from it, and both were success. Just make sure if you do purchase that you get all there info. Don’t be afraid to ask for there number, call them up to make sure its legit.

Never be to careful when it comes to spending your hard earned money

Hi Real Bingo,

Ebay can be a terrific place to find great prices. But there are several caveats there.
1. you are buying from individuals usually sometimes companies Ebay itself acts much like a big newspaper simply allowing people to post their auctions.

2. While ebay has a good reporting system in place to catch cheats it isnt foolproof(nothing is)

3. Try to deal with people with higher feedback scores. I am not saying dont trade with people with zero feedback but be more careful when you do do deals with them.

4. Paypal is one of the better payment services around. Since it is now owned/controlled by Ebay, you will have a continuous track for any deals you make.

5. If at all possible get them to ship USPS, If they break the law, (taking your money, etc...) its mail Fraud and you can go to the FEDERAL Government to attempt to deal with any dead beats.

6. Ask your self am I ready for this? Do I trust this person? How does it feel to me? If ANY alarm bells go off its better to pass on the deal rather than loosing your hard earned cash.

All that being said. I have been an Ebayer for near 4 years, and for the most part I have very good feelings about the deals I have had on Ebay.

I have been at eBay since '99
I have not had any problems tho I did quit buying there for awhile.
I myself refrain from buying from less then 10 feed backs positive of course,but all in all it has been a fairly good experiance.
Just check em out and use your gut feelings.
Also e-mail any questions to a seller on eBay before bidding.
I have noticed there are less then 10 feed backs with very good presentations(auctions)which has me leery since it gives me the feeling they have done this before and re registered under a clean id.
