Are Amazon gift cards legit??

I see where they give you a $50 gift card if you buy stuff. It says the card comes 30 days later in email.

Is it legit or just bunk?? Is it usable for ANYTHING or just junk that they cant move??

I suppose it is just like rebates....everyone gets all excited over the GC but 70% never use them.

What are the limitations of it, do I have to buy like $150 worth or something to be able to use the GC?

I want a camera...newegg has it for $259...amazon for $269 but you get the $50 GC.

I get a $25 Amazon Gift Certificate for every $2500 I put on my credit card. I get about 10 gift certificates per year. I've used every one of them without a hitch.

Well, I just ordered so Ill find out I guess. So 30-40 days from now I get the email and I have to use it before Dec31st, lol. They are counting on lots of people forgetting etc.

I rarely carry more than $40 in cash and it lasts me weeks. I charge everything. Even my cell phone bill goes on my CC. I love the plastic. Makes life so much easier.
