Rating a reseller after telling them I'm a member

I know my situation is slightly different, as I can not review a company, but I indetify myself as a representative of ResellerRatings when purchasing via an online vendor. Needless to say, I have never been shorted or delayed on any order I've ever submitted.

I see no problem with indentifying yourself as a member of the RR community. By making the statement, you are informing the vendor that you are an informed shopper.

Some vendors even offer a check box to ask if you found their site through popular ratings services like RR.

If they do you good, then make sure you put in your rating that you told them ahead of time that you used RR and that they were made aware you were going to critique them.

I thoroughly agree, plus you should clearly state up front to the vendor that you intend to review your purchase at RR upon receipt of your product(s).

I'm grateful to everyone, I was worried that my actions would be interpreted as influence peddling, on a microscopic scale.

They shall be rated, with the added comment that I mentioned my ResellerRatings membership in my order comments.
