Hi All,
Here a little background and scenario breakdown...
I ordered a digital camera (Canon S400) from dell about 2 and half months ago. The order was processed as normal and a delivery date was established on a Friday afternoon. Unbeknowns to anyone the 2003 Blackout occured (which fell on Thursday afternoon to Friday Night in New York); because of this disaster I thought the shipment must have been delayed to next business day (Monday); which was perfectly understandable given the circumstances. However, on Monday afternoon I went to check the status of my order on the Dell website and it is was indicated to have been delivered

by Airborne Express. According to the detailed summary of the deliver it was said to have been left on my door step.
As with many of you I called dell immediately (thier service has really gone sour over the past couple of years) I must have spoken to about 7-8 people until i was finally connected to the correct people. They must have thought that I didn't know how to read or something b/c they kept repeating the same information that I found on their website.
When I was finally connected to a Supervisor, he was still very unhelpful. He kept insisting that I needed to call Air Borne track my package. Needless to say I refused to call Air Borne and indicated that I purchase the product from Dell with the full confidence that I was going to be a happy customer and I'm not.
After a couple of hours wasted with the Dell Customer Service, the supervisor just cancelled my order and elected to refund my money. But the problem now is that the bill is still showing up on my credit card. I have callel them twice already each time getting a promise of a refund within the next 2 weeks
Well it has been 6 weeks and still have not gotten the refund.
WHAT SHOULD I DO? (sorry just had to vent) Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
thanks for enduring this marathon of a post.
