either way, he said he was going to give you a 128 mb card. It doesnt matter if its a MX or not, he did not give you what you paid for. So yes you were ripped off.

You definitely didn't get what you paid for. I'd complain bitterly.

Although the difference between 64 and 128 MB of Ram in those card doesn't promise a big performance difference, I'd have to say that yes... you got ripped off.

this is what the guy has to say --

"" 1. You can keep that card and I will paypal you the difference of $19 (between the cost difference of a brand new GF 4 128 MB & 64 MB card - www.pricewatch.com)

2. OR you can send me that card and I will send you mine(128MB)...so we do a swap

3. and of course, you can keep that card and we call it quits. But I don't think you'll agree to it sooooo...

Check this site out for information on VGA cards - http://www6.tomshardware.com/graphic..._guide-12.html

Check this site to compare the real difference between the 128 MB card and 64 MB card - http://www.nvidia.com/page/geforce4mx.html

BTW, just for your info..it really does not matter which GF 4 card you have..both of them are pretty DELETED. They didn't even make it Tom's hardware's charts.

If I were you, I would sell that one on EBay and get like at least a FX 5200 or if you can afford it - a FX 5600. I play BF 1942 on my card all the time, and it sucks big time.....GF 4 is waaayy outdated...I'm saving up cash to get the FX 5800 for Christmas!

Also if you wanna get the next generation games like Doom 2003 or Half Life 2, GF 4 won't be able to support it since they are all meant to run on DX 9 which GF 4 does not support...FX 5200 on supports DX 9. ""

So what do u all think i should do ?????
help.................

Use ebay's help system to get his contact info. Call him EVERY day, once in the morning, once at night. Find his local courthouse address. Email him and tell him that your attorney can file a claim through an attorney in his city. WHEN, not if, you win, he'll be responsible for the auction item, and your court costs. Even if it's not true, it should scare him.

i would just ask for my money back, he did not provide the product you purchase. You want your money back.

The fact of the matter even if the card is not top of the line since its MX doesnt mean he should not give you the product you put money down for. Tell him thank you for the advice (basically a bunch of useless information that doesnt even partain to your product) its his way of trying to make like what he did for you was a favor

If you go with number two, make sure he pays for shipping of the old card to him, and the card you orginally purchased to you

the question is what do you want to do?

personally i would ask for my money back
