Best Buy and Digital Research rebates

DR's site says it cannot find my rebate data for the 52x24x52 CD-RW drive. I sent the rebate in immediately (8/26/03); it was supposed to be good through 9/30/03. Moreover a relative bought the same drive simultaneously and his rebate (and he's very good on filing them) is also in limbo.

Don 't buy anything from Digital Research expecting a rebate.

JJ: Interesting... I was just thinking about buying the DR DVR +/- RW from guess who, best buy.. on sale this week with a $30 rebate from DR.

I understand, Sony screwed me on a lousy $10 rebate. You think you got the run around from DR... try talking to a live person at Sony IMPOSSIBLE! Sony has really gone robot! Thanks to the Mgr. at CompUSA, they made good the $10 rebate.

Sony also scewed me on a carrying case for a Sony CD player, the Manager at Circuit City made good on that offer, so what's with best buy managers?

horrible customer service, and i have gotten screwed out of a rebate before. both the manufacturer and bb wanted the origional upc...(didnt realize till i got home)...WTF never again have i used best buy
