Ebay Sale Retraction

How do I retract or cancel and order I put in on ebay?

I bought it but I havnt paid for it yet.

I'm having second thoughts about the laptop since I found out that it doesnt have an internal battery (which wasnt clearly labeled in the advertizment, just that an optional external was available).

You can't. your only hope is to contact the seller and explain the situation. To which he will probably say 'too bad'. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news

if you won the auction it is too late.

the seller can offer a second chance to the next to highest bidder though, so you may not be completely out of luck. you may get a bad rating though.

jmebonner is correct, your bid is an agreement to purchase the item at the selected price. I would give the seller a call if I were you...you can be much more personable on the phone as compared to an e-mail. Just my .02

Good luck!

yeah, you can retract a bid, but not a win.

explain why you dont want it, apoligize, and offer to pay the seller his listing fees.

the fees are like $1-$3, even though he probably wont want you to pay it...it leaves a better taste in his mouth if you offer.

Yup, you may be out of luck. I'm waiting on a guy right now who was supposed to show up this evening to pick up a guitar I sold to him on eBay. Numerous calls and emails have gone unanswered. I think I have a deadbeat here....

DAMN,

In a prior e-mail I said I didnt have a paypal account, the seller said to pay by money order, I only ordered it because it said paypal AND in a separate bullet it had multiple credit cards which gave me the assumption that there was another way to purchase via credit which is why I bought one.

It wasn't a auction, it was a buy now btw.
He had 16 in stock.

It was falsely advertized in some aspects which lead to my confusion. He advertized it as a Laptop Notebook which is clearly isn't. I called up their ASUS tech support for notebooks and the guys said it was really a "deskmate" or portable desktop, not a notebook. I wanted to NOT be attached to a wall to do work.

This sucks....

Are you talking about the 'Buddy' line. With no battery?
