whats your processor? PC 2100 is insufficient for newer processors. I dont think you can go wrong with Corsair... but their prices are pretty steep.

I would DEFINATELY recommend at least 512MB of RAM if you're using windows. Is this just an expansion or is it for a new comp?

im replacing my old 128mb pc-133 with corsair. I have a pc 2100 system. But i wasn't sure how well the buffalo tech works. Besides corsair has a life-time warranty and it was 10 cents more than the buffalo tech. I paid 68.10 for the corsair ultra-low lat pc-2700. Not to mention the company for corsair was alot better. i use athlon xp 2100+

I gues Im sorta confused. The 256 Corsair was 10 cents more than the 512 Buffalo Tech?

I'll defiantely agree that Corsair is better RAM, but if you plan to do much gaming on a machine with 256 you might be screwing yourself (or at least severely limiting you comp). Might wanna pop in another stick of 256 one of these days =)

What OS do you run? On Win 98 or Linux 256 will prolly run great, cant vouch much for Win2000, but Win XP is a memory hog (thus I assume 2k is nearly as bad).

Too bad it all has to cost so much =(
Or at least it seems to, when you dont have a job (me). Guess im just rambling now

if the buff mem is 2.0 lat then you're alright. corsair is never a bad choice though
