Not grand larceny but still larceny if they took it (gave out an RMA) knowing they could not repair it.
Failure to contact the legal owner after numerous enquiries?
No intent to return the property to it's rightful owner?

Hey Wait a minute.... THERES NO SANTA CLAUS!

Sorry for the sarcasm but These guys are really really something!
Can Lara put them on the "List?" Unless they are feeding her the "wait til next week" story of the mysterious investors/partnership/buyout story of the week.

damn I still get torqued I let it go on this long
Not sure about Georgia, but in California, any theft over $250 is felony Grand Larceny. Just food for thought.

Thanks Ballast... EEEK! Man thats a lot of computer but also a lot of cash.

I've seen cybercomputerinc has decent ratings here and they offer some decent prices on a mid level gamer.

I'm glad...well, as glad as someone can be in this situation, that others are having problems with them.

Monarch delayed my order from August 30th to Early September because they thought that the video card was not working, but when a senior member of their tech team returned from vacation, he realized it 'works' (It's been giving me a lot of problems now. It's an X1900XTX and it does not feel at all like it's better than my X800XT) and finally sent the system.

I paid for 24/7 tech support yet have never really gotten 24/7 tech support, save once when they paged a guy to talk to me. [Alienware, -FAR- more expensive, had remarkable tech support]. There's a lot of other issues that I am just too exhausted to deal with, but I am shocked that a lot of you are having far worse experiences.

I'd really be happy with just giving them their damn system back and getting my moneys worth.

Mkp - Alienware was very expensive, but so far it's been the best company for me. I had hardware issues but their customer support seemed very helpful. Still, they are kind of a 'ferrari' type of company, and I can't suggest them unless you're willing to pay.

If you really want to squeal, check out Falcon Northwest, their budget box start at $2,692.50. Ouch!

Polywell seems to do well, but I don't know. If I were to buy instead of building my own I would consider Polywell. Their prices are decent. Do you mean CYBERPOWER?

BUT heres the question:

Is there anywhere else that you can buy a custom built computer and have better service?

Dell is bad gateway is worse and HP is mediocre in Reseller Ratings

So when it comes time for the memorial service on the Monarch Furia, (No Burial as it was lost). Where do I find a replacement?

Polywell? Hardly enough here at reseller to go on.....
Anyone else?

After this whole Monarch debacle, I went ahead and bought a custom PC from buyxg.com (rated pretty nicely on RR). That's the same company as cyberpowerpc.com (oddly enough, not rated as high).

They're both based around LA, and I'm in Irvine, and I got the computer 21 hours after they told me they shipped it. This was with standard shipping, as well.

As for the price, it was friggin awesome. They had a 5% instant coupon for no minimum (but now it's $999+)

The computer was in great condition, and was very neatly built.

I'm having a lot of problems with the sound card, and everytime the tower is bumped, the thing shuts off for 15 minutes but their customer service is pretty active. They're quick about RMAs, and I usually don't have to wait on hold that long (5-10 minutes).

Thanks

Yeah Ballast Cyberpower... I've been sneaking glances at Polywell but Theres no reviews on their customer Services. WHICH WILL ALWAYS BE THE NUMBER ONE THING I LOOK AT BEFORE I BUY NOW!

Thanks Invinceable I'm in Middle America out in the boonies but still have DSL and configuring the Poly and cyberpower has Cyber ahead on price and maybe Customer Service. Gotta check the buyxg line up.

Thanks Guys!

Oh Update. No Phone response today from MONARCH COMPUTERS on my BROKEN MONARCH FURIA system. No one answered the RMA System line. I was on hold 53 minutes and 42 minutes. no human answered. No replies to my RMA status forms. No Emails either. 29 OCT without that computer. They've been sitting on it since 13 Nov and NOTHING apparently has been done.

WOW Inviceable!

XG got a 7.27 six month and had 6.72 customer service.
Prices are really good BUT I notice build dates slipped on some (few) reviews

Compared to the MONARCH rating of 3.62 six month and 2.59 customer service

Yeah. I figure I'll never see the furia repaired back in my house but I probably will go with XG for its replacement

$1798.00 lesson

MKPA, go after them. Do not let them win by using delaying tactics. Go to the Georgia Attorney General Office.

If and when he gets it back, its not the same anymore.
It's kind of like your brand new car being stolen and wrecked. When you do get it back for the body shop you don't "feel the love" like you did before.Sure it looks great but it's not the same and a trade-in is in the near furture. Well thats my analogy anyway...

No, Don't get me wrong the BBB of Georgia is already filed and I am appearing in a local small claims.

It's just that the damn system will probably never be seen again.

AND HERES A BIGGIE:
As of now they are no longer accepting system orders.
The configurator says to check back in January 2007

Hmmm Severely limited parts for sale, repairs backed up and now not taking orders AND NO ONE ANSWERING THE RMA PHONES.

Wonder if anyones working and when they last saw a paycheck?

I think we are gonna see something soon.
