| Quick question,
if Monarch files bankruptcy, how does that play into everyone's credit card disputes?
Oh, and has anyone heard an update on their credit card dispute? I hear it could take a few months for the credit card company to reach a resolution, but maybe someone had started a dispute earlier this year?
And good luck to everyone fighting the good fight against Monarch, especially Mindreaper |

If Monarch files bankruptcy it will have no bearing on the credit card disputes. You can dispute any charge on your credit card at any time for any reason. Now, that being said you had better have a good reason to dispute it since most credit card companies have a limit to how many times you can dispute something if you're wrong, not to mention that they won't credit your account if your wrong, lol.
Once an item is disputed, who cares if it takes months to get the money back, unless your credit card company doesn't automatically credit your account. I know that with my Bank of America card i was refunded the amount the night i called in and had that available to me immediately. So if your credit card doesn't do that, think about getting a different card.
Thanks for the luck, knowing my luck, i'll need it |

Oh, I got a conditional credit from VISA immediately, but they said if they find in favor of Monarch, they're going to take it back.
I was just wondering if they went bankrupt, whether or not they'll take my conditional credit back...or how they would recoup the money Monarch would owe them.
I'm going to call them tomorrow and see what the status is, and alert them of this thread in hopes that they'll go after Monarch hard.

It almost reminds me of the credit card commercials:
New computer $3,600 dollars
3 year warranty $99.00
Getting even with the pricks who screwed me over.... PRICELESS
Again, nice job on snatching that off the Monarch boards prior to it getting deleted and me being banned!! | Cant wait for the moment!
But yea he has patience, hell he deals with my computer **** and still doens't hang up on me or block my emails when I need help! I was told my part is in transit. though I just started with my issue. Will see what happens.

| I'm beginning to wonder if the information being leaked by Monarch employees is really an attempt to misdirect customers.First it was some service rep saying Monarch was getting out of the parts business to concentrate on system building. Then it was that Monarch was going through a "restructuring".Then the mystery announcement about an upcoming press release. Now the rumor that they're being bought out.(If it is true that anyone buying them out would be responsible for making good on any customer claims,I 'd like to know who's doing the buying,I've got some prime land in the Everglades they might be interested in! ) Seems like a misinformation campaign to keep customers off balance and stall for time. For what,I don't know, but I have a feeling it won't be good for customers.

It's also very possible that the techs, or any other peon for that matter, don't have a clue either and are speculating just as much as we are. I'm sure we'll find out soon enough but if Monarch does stay in business, they have a hell of a long road in front of them for rebuilding people's confidence in them again.

Class Action
This is from their forums before they pull it:
ClassAction Lawsuit
Does Monarch have your money and not providing what you paid for? Anyone that has money being held by Monarch or has been damaged since 9/1/06 can join a class action lawsuit to punish them for their abuse and borderline fraud. email "mcbirnie@yahoo.com". Looking only for customers that have been ignored through emails and phone calls while Monarch tries to keep as much cash in their accounts through their due diligence. This is abuse and borderline fraud and they need to be punished accordingly by some attorneys.

Well, that one is gone already, they set some kind of record pulling it!Guess it takes words like "lawsuit" to really get their attention.
At this point, taking action through the credit card companies or an attorney seems the best resort that customers have, the time for waiting patiently is long gone.Wait too long and you could find yourself out in the cold if they file for bankruptcy.

I just wanted to update everyone on my dispute:
I called Citicard/VISA today and they told me that they just received my letter describing all my troubles with Monarch.
They went ahead and used that information to take the money out of Monarch's account at their bank so it's looking really good at this point. Monarch doesn't have VISA's money or my money, but they have to wait 60 days to make it truly permanent.
I couldn't get any information on Monarch's standing overall, and I don't know if I should draw any conclusions from the rather fast response by VISa...
but as long as Monarch doesn't have my money. I'm mildly happy.
