Sorry you had a bad board twice. We do not make the board and have no control over that. You were issued a rapid replacment. 97 % of returns go out in 1-3 days( also if you order a combo from this page http://www.monarchcomputer.com/Merch...ory_Code =COM
( you get free set up and testing and we pay shipping for 30 days back if you ever have an issue ) Some one from monarch will contact you shortly.( also we offer store credit with no restocking fee.Monarchcomputer.com also runs specials on refurb board starting @ 40.00 )
| Right after dbeselev posted, I checked their rating, and that's what a Monarch representative said. I'm sure their working on it.

Update: Sterling from Monarch contacted me and apologized for this problem, issued a refund of restocking fee + plus partial credit for shipping back fees. He did mentioned the company growing as a reason for this problem slipping thru.. Now since this could have happened with any seller, i feel its more important how they finally reacted and did what's right. They could have said " Hey, he already posted his negative comments, so what good its gonna do to refund his $$ ? "" But they didn't. I'll probably buy from them again if i'm not buying locally.

That's very good to hear, I saw your post on RR, I'm surprised they called you at 7 PM PST. Good thing you picked up, I know I wouldn't My phone number that I put down for every purchase they ask is the phone line I use to connect to the Internet |

Sterling without a doubt is indispensible to Monarch. He is the one to right the wrongs, he fixes the problems, which I (we) can(all) appreciate. However if problems were handled correctly, as they happen, Monarchs dependance on Sterling could be reduced and would allow him to better manage the company, instead of cleaning up the mess his people make! For what its worth ,I would buy from Monarch again ONLY if I could deal with him exclusively, and the price was right. It just seems like a lot of work when there are places like newegg (great on price)and local shops that aren't all that bad. They can't hang up on you when your standing in front of them...they can however call the GM,with any luck he/she is as good as Sterling.

I have to call in to question this latest development with Monarch.
Out of the blue I received this E-Mail...
Hello,
Can you please provide some kind of proof for your order with Monarch computers that you placed on our website?
Your review was made under the username of Ballast and was posted on 8/8/03 2:09 PM.
Can you please provide me with proof of this review? The seller is contesting it.
Regards,
Mark Stubblefield

Ever notice how Monarch can have a bad review and then its turned into a "Very Satisfied"one? You never see that crap on the others.
Just so you know...

I just today saw this thread.
I have had very good results from Monarch. In fact, my main machine bought from Monarch in January of 2001 has had minimum problems(most of them user errors ). My best guess is it'll be running till the work units from UD take 5 days to complete instead of 6 hours.

Dude, calm down! It's from Mark, co founder of TIMO. He's just auditing Monarch, hence he e-mailed you. If you read the RR rules and etc, it's normal practice!
