Outdoors PartsPC.com(microX) is a fraud?

I seek an advise in a very ugly situation that I found my-self.
I ordered a CPU from them on the June 1-st. The sales person called me back saying that they have a defective batch of those CPUs and I have to wait ~3 days or buy a speedier CPU. I chose to wait. However the CPU was shipped to me the same day and when I received it - it was not recognized by the motherboard - exactly the problem that sales person told me about. I got an RMA and shipped it back. They received it on June 13 and sent me an e-mail that it usually takes 8-9 working days to complete the RMA process. Now they had it for 7 weeks and every week they say that they are going to send me my CPU. I contacted support and tried to contact management of that company They charged me 2 month ago. Should I call my credit card company and report fraud or file a suit in local small claim court? Do I have any other pro-active options?

It hasn't been 7 weeks your math is a little off here but thats no matter. Yes you need to call the credit card company in fact you should have done that once you suspected an issue. Make sure you have copies of everything they have sent you and you have sent them. Most the time its not needed but once in awhile it is. You can also contact the post office's mail fraud division as well as the better business bureau. Looks like they have had several complaints recently on reseller ratings .

Thanks, I did contact both. Will post you on resolution.
Now PartsPC are saying that they sent my CPU on July 23. It has been 2 weeks and I didn't receive it. They couldn't provide the tracking numbers. Something is really wrong with that company.

PartsPC is disreputable

I have had the same problem with them, they have had my CPU for over 2 months now and it has taken me forever to get in touch with someone there. They hung up on me when I complained!!! I'm calling the BBB of California and posting about them wherever I can. I'm also having them refund my money, I would never do business with them again.

They replied to Better Business Bureau - PartsPC said that the CPU was physically defective now and it is my fault. Have anybody sued a company like that before? It seems that they do this type of business purposely, judging by the number of complains on this site and the history of e-mails. I think a judge would agree. But I wouldn't go to court for 50$. A few thousand dollars for time that I spent arguing with them and inconvenience sounds good.
Will update y'all later. But best advice - stay away from them. I guess it would be nice if I'd read this board before buying from PartsPC.

Well, some positive developements here. I actually received a working CPU. This is ~4 month after I ordered one. I don't really need it now, since I bought another one from newegg and received it within 7 buisiness days couple month ago.
To summarize, this company is not a fraud but have serious customer relations issues. I consider it is a high risk to do business with them again. Would not recommend to anyone.
