ezbpc and their cheap ebay deals

how many people here have bought an ezbpc? I just sent bid for one last week, and won. Just wondering how well the rig runs. Also, just so you know, a little trip to pricewatch can get you a better barebones rig for the same price of all those systems, the only thing you need to do is connect the mobo to the case, because you have to buy the case(with power supply) and mobo(with cpu/heatsink). Not to mention the case is alot nicer (aluminum)...
I've also noticed their bids have gotten pretty high lately. I saw them going for 40 to 65, now they're from 75 to 100.

hmmm EZPC sounds familiar OH YES!!! well just so you know there stuff isnt worth getting Unless you dont care. You can get the same mobo and Cpu very cheap and buy Aluminum Case with side window and PSU for 30 bucks( price if for just the case ) Mobo and Cpu around let say 60. I see a few places which do free shipping. And Besides have you seen there upgrade prices good lord what a rip off and there Shipping!! I was at first gonna buy there stuff until someone told me not to and said browse around and compare

Been watching them and wondering myself. High shipping @ $48.00, but they were going for as low as $42. That is low enough for me even with the outrageous shipping.

I placed an order and paid the $9.99 for next day shipping and for FedEx 2 day. The order should have been here Friday. I have tried to reach them via email since Friday and have received no response.

I called twice Friday afternoon but noone answered the phone. Starting this morning, I have tried to call them approx 15 times. Each time, the phone is busy or when you get the phone to ring no one answers. Each of the no answer incidents I have let the phone ring until the phone company cuts me off saying "Your party isn't answering". This is, by the way, what happens when you let the phone ring for more than 2 minutes and no one answers.

They have alot of feedback, the majority good but, I still worry about scam and I know they cannot offer 30 day money back if they do not answer the phone to give an RMA.

My suggestion would be for you to try to contact them to see if they answer before ordering. I am very unhappy thus far but if I get my items in the next couple of days and my refund for my $9.99 and all works, I will be happy with the deal I recieved (not the service).

I'm afraid you may be SOL, Michael. They had a rush of negative feedback recently, and Ebay has suspended their account.

I don't think they were a scam like you usually think of one. Up until about a month ago, their feedback was almost universally positive, and they had over 12,000 feedbacks posted. Obviously they weren't a here-one-day-gone-the-next operation. Whatever happened to them seemed to happen all of a sudden in the last month.

I am fortunate in that I got my barebones system from them right before things turned bad for them, although I haven't completed it and got it running yet.

Has anybody had any success on getting SCSI drives to work with these machines? I'm getting an IRQ conflict between the SCSI card and the on-board sound card. I tried disabling the on-board sound, but it didn't help. I can't find in the BIOS where to change the IRQ of the sound card.

I have the AMD2200 processor and the motherboard with the SiS 736 (I think) chipset.

Suggestions??

Well I called my credit card company to report fraud and discovered they had already credited my card for the charges. At least they weren't trying to steal money.

I would have preferred an email from them or something, I would have even waited longer for the product if they would have explained what was going on.

If you have ordered from them and have yet to receive your order, call your credit card company, they may have already refunded the amount you were charged.

I won the auction on july 1st, Paid July 3rd
ezbpc said they would send out my computer on July 16th
computer was never sent out
They arent answering any emails or phone calls
sounds like a true scam
They have charged my debit card and havent refunded, I recently called my bank to report fraud, So I will see how long it takes to get my money back
ezbpc is a very poor business

I was cheated by them as well..oh i got my computer alright, but the M/B was broken..sent it back went thru the lies etc..got the supposedly new one..but it does not work properly either..they were just a total rip off from the word go..
