You're quite welcome, many people are not aware of the potential dangers of using PAYPAL (including me!), so I'm glad I could help prevent this from happening to any of my TechIMO buds.

i changed my password and made sure their wasn't any changes that I should worry about. If people would just be cautious with their money online, then it shouldn't be a problem. But you are right.. there are alot of people who dunno what security problems are online. if they just changed their password every month they would be better security wise.

Martoch hey by change did you get a "Ebay update" notice by email? If you did and filled it out that is who got your paypal info. If you del. the email after updating look in you delleted emails and see if it is in there you may be able to trace them down. Just a shoot in the dark.

I don't recall getting any update notification, but I never fall for that junk anyway...I haven't used PAYPAL for months, but I hadn't changed the password either. I guess I was naive enough to think that it would never happen to me. If only I could win the lottery now!

one question, if you use auto fill with your passwords, where is that information kept? I want to go in and delete all that info. I will keep my passwords on paper and enter them in manually for now on. Anyone know where I can start looking? Are they cookies in the temp internet file that are protected?

It's easy! Using Internet Explorer, Go to Tools -> Internet Options... Click the "Content" tab. Under "Personal Information," click the "AutoComplete..." button. To turn off the feature, look under "Use AutoComplete for." Next to "Forms," there should be a check mark. Click the check mark to turn it off. If you only want to empty the list, look under "Clear AutoComplete History" and click the "Clear Forms" button.
