NewEgg and WinXP

Does NewEgg ever have a "hot deal" on XP? I want to buy a copy, and I want to get it from NewEgg, (cuz i'm probably gonna get other stuff to, and I'm very comfortable there) but would wait and keep my eyes open if it ever WAS a "hot deal" in the hopes that it would be one again.

OKOK...I'd consider other credible places too if the price was that much less than NewEgg.

Suggestions?

I've never seen the price change much on XP Home or Pro. I think Newegg is pretty much locked in by M$ on how much they can charge for it. I checked #9-Software (who sells software at a discount price) and they have the same price as Newegg on XP-home OEM and are only $2 cheaper on XP-Pro OEM.

As an employee of a reseller, let me just say this: Microsoft products are a nightmare. The price we are charged means that we make so little profit on the item when we sell it at the RRP it is almost not worth it... so lower prices are practically impossible, unless working alongside other 'buy other items' offers.
Sorry for the bad news mate.

No sweat....I kind of expected that. It seems the Pro copies go for about the same, so I suppose I'll just order it from NewEgg when I'm ready.

Just out of curiosity, Where do you guys shop?
