Kids Power supply?

Is this a good deal? I don't know anything about Turbolink PSU's. Are they any good?

On the link that you gave:
420W TURBOLINK (MADE BY CHANNEL WELL,CWT-420ATX-12V) P4 ATX POWER SUPPLY w/ DUAL FAN

Tom's Hdwre rated another Channelwell not too highly, & noisy too.

IMO, one should spend a few bucks more, if just for the peace of mind.
However it's a crap-shoot. I just had an Antec True 480 die after 22 days of light service.
Meanwhile, some that came inside $25 cases live on!

That power supply will probably be good up to a athlon xp1900 , anything over that will probably cause hard to pinpoint errors . The problem is most all the power supplies out there are designed for "old school" cpu's . There is a new power supply standard , atx version 1.2 , due to the increased use of +12volts amps of modern cpu's . The only psu's I know of that meet the new atx 1.2 are newer enermax psu's .
