Really cheap power supplies?

Hey all!
I found this site that has some really inexpensive power supplies. The site's ReselerRatings are not so good (like 6ish I think) but I really don't care. For this amount of money, it's really no big deal. My question is... are the PSU's good enough to use? The have a 400W model for $11.50 that seems to have decent specs, but I'd like some IMO's. They have free ground shipping and even 2nd day air is cheap, so LMK what ya' think.

Thanks!

I was planning on runnning a xp2400, albatron kx400, ti4200, etc. The only things I still need for the system are a HDD and a PSU. I'd like to get both for under 75 so I need a cheap, but decent PSU.

with that setup you listed there, I'd opt to get a DECENT power supply...
I've used an "Allied" power supply in my rig for quite a while now and it's been GREAT. They're not too expensive either.
They sell 400 watt ones at newegg.com for about $33 or so and the 350 watts are $24.

I have two Duro PSU's and both seem fine...I got them with some cheaper Inca-City cases and they have been running nice systems for over 6 months now.

Yeah, I don't like running high-end equipment on a cheap PSU either. But if you do go for a cheap one, try looking here... http://www.svc.com/powersupplies.html
At least they have a good rating at RR.

When it comes to my computers, I'm well known for buying cheap parts. However, based on personal experience, the one thing I don't cheap out on anymore is the power supplies. I've had a couple of the cheap ones crap out on me - and some of my most frustrating troubleshooting challenges have turned out to be bad power supplies.

My personal favorite brand is Antec, but there's lots of other good brands out there for maybe $10 - $20 more than the el-cheapo models.

well i just got back my antec true550 from RMA so much for the cheap ps idea . the +12 was running at 10.41 and reaked havoc on my system .....

but i got this one not long ago http://store.yahoo.com/akidacomputer/acpowsup50du.html and it is running in my 1700@2034 right now no sweat .
1700xp
asus an78x
ti4200 64 meg
zalman with 120mm
2 80 mm case fans
rails are good
+12 =12.34
+5 =4.97
+3.3 =3.33
not bad for 22.73 shiped.. think it is a 1$ more now . for that price i thin it is worth a try . it is dual fan also .

also from what i have heard allied ps's aren't bad . i have one i got from newegg i haven't tried out yet waiting for a case . it is 400w . but i think it cost me like 39 shipped . http://www.newegg.com/app/viewproduc...on=allied+400w go read the reviews from buyers theer are 20 and they all pretty much look good .

My experience with Duro wasn't so good. Bought 10 cases with them and 3 were bad
