online vendors

we all like newegg thats a given . but who has ventured out and used other online vendors and what did ya think of them ? i know we can all go to resellerrating and read reviews but i was wondering what the people here have done and who they have used and how they felt about the vendors .

i have used bananapc.com and they were great . got some memory from the and it went smooth as melted butter.

i have use akida.net they were pretty good . found them in yahoo shopping but they weren't to good with comunacation but once i got past that part it was good service. i payed with paypal and didn't know i had to send payment on my own i thought the website did it automaticly , but once i talked to them i got my oder, 500w ps , within 3days . price's are great and shipping was cheap .

meritline.com was great also used them to get ink for my printer . i was recomended to them from this forum and would use them again in a heartbeat.

I've used both www.compgeeks.com and www.svc.com and liked both of them very much.

www.coolerguys.com is really good only ordered from them once but they had good prices. they had a little mess up on my order and squarred it away very quickly withough any questions asked. I agree with ineb computer geeks is also a good site I know there is a thread around here somewhere with a long list of sites everyone recommends

I've used chumbo.com a couple of times.
Aslo aclcomputers.com (because of their international shipping)

I used to do business with Tigerdirect.com and Nutrend.com but because of being so wishy washy, I've discarded them. I would see an ad for a price, but Tiger would say, oh, we can't do that, it's actually $X.XX more now. Never honor any ads, and were just a pain in the gleuteus maximus (not to mention all the bad hardware - floppy drives and such - that I've received). In Nutrend's case, they were a Newegg copycat in almost every respect (even displaying exact messages Newegg had on certain items for sale - same color and format) and weren't sure about any question I've ever asked them.

Personally, for specific parts, I go Newegg every time.
For generic parts, I use compgeeks or cyberguys.com. Occasionally I will order from Computergate, but only when I know I'm getting a good deal, to avoid the high shipping and handling (+ 2.95) charges with every order.

Ok, I've vented.
