Thanks for the kind words JPM..

rebates suck. lol.

Just kidding.

hey face it....money and greed sorta feed each other and here in America we have plenty of both. I got screwed out of my workers comp one time and that sort of opened my eyes some to corporate greed and how corporations have a nice little "system" setup to cheat people....of course their day of judgement will come.

Maybe soon I will be in business for myself as a store owner so we will see how I handle it, lol.

JP

Yep, quite true.

Although companies can only use a model of *trying* to increase profits through such ways for so long before people get tired of it and stop buying their equipment at all. Then when their profits plumet, watch how fast they do a 180.

I bought an HP All-in-1 printer from Office Depot last month. Didn't know about the mi rebates for it when I bought it. 2 rebates a $30 rebate from HP and a $20 rebate for Office Depot (but from www.expressgroup.com ). Mail both rebates out on Apr. 14, received the HP rebate on May 21. Called expressgroup.com, they say they never received my rebate, and they want me to fax them my copies that I made. If they would have given me an email I would have just emailed my copies.
Keep 'em in the computer and have hard copies.

Make a copy of the refusal letter or information, pack up the monitor, and walk into customer service at bestbuy where you bought it during a heavy shopping day and make sure everybody hears you say you want your money back because they lied to you about the rebate. Do the same with the other piece you got ripped off on. Stand there outraged that they lied to you about getting a rebate if you bought the product and say you want a full refund based on their fraudulent sales practices. They'll either give you store credit, or process the refund. If you purchased the items with a credit card even better. They keep all those records on a database. Even the rebate attached to that sale. Hell I'd also call the credit card company and say you never received all of what you paid for, and tell bestbuy your going to call the credit card company. Keep saying the word "fraud" very loudly.

DEATH TO ALL REBATES.
