New Question

Thanks for all the comments so far.

So I found 512MB of Kingston for $56.50 @ googlegear, I'm buying it later this morning.

Options:
1) Add one 512MB stick to the factory 256MB
2) Get two 512MB sticks, and pull the factory 256MB

Questions:
1) I've had my new set up for 6 days. What's a DELL factory stick worth?
2) Is it worth it to have 1024MB over 768MB? I doubt I'll ever use it, but will it make a difference?

Unless you're
1. Hardcore gamer that has to play at 1600x1200x32
2. Video/Large picture/audio editing
3. CAD/CAM design

No you won't see much difference... I have 512 in my machine and I've never pushed it

depends on the os your running , if u have 95 , 98 or me you don't want more than 512 in it . it freaks it out and can't handle it .
if u have xp or nt the more the merrier
but before u buy anything make sure your motherboard can take a 512 . also check newegg.com they have some kingston pc2700 for 60$ a stick for 512 with free shipping .

P4 2.2 with XP, just got the system. Each slot holds up to 512MB.
