earlthepearl is on a distinguished road
John,
I purchased several Lexmark 4039 printers from a Michigan Govt on-line surplus auction.
The catch is that they had to be picked up in Lansing. None had been networked, so the usage was minimal.
They have odds & ends of PC stuff, but all is legacy & of marginal value.

Similarly our University auctions surplus, but judging from what is still in use, only a scrap recycler need attend.

An acquaintance bought a pristine pickup truck similarly from a Virginia Govt on-line auction.
I've been hunting that site. Any ideas?

not sure about where you live but here in cali they list most of the state auctions in the newpaper. Then you can just get added to the mailing list. I know alot of the counties have auction hotlines listed in the goverment section of the phone book. The USPS and Marshals service have great auctions in most major cities but you have to call them to get the info.

I don't recommend any site that says $500 for a car or pay us $49 for a list. With a little work you can find the info and get on mailing lists.
