MoBo Combo Price
A friend is offering a motherboard combo to me. It consists of:

Tyan Tiger MP motherboard
2 AMD Athlon MP CPUs 1600+
2 128 pc2100 DDR registered memory modules
Coolmaster CPU Cooling fans

The setup is about 6 months old. They originally paid around $650 for the entire setup and is asking $400. Is this a good deal? Bad deal?

First make sure that everything works and runs correctly.
And then make the decision.
Also, which Tyan Dual XP motherboard is it? (I think they have like 2 or 3 different ones!).

The price sounds good though. but check which motherboard is it.

That sound a good deal.... Those Tyan Tiger boards are rather nice... which board is it?

THe combo does work, I've used it in his pc.

It's the Tyan Tiger MP, model S2460.

Not a bad board at all... I would be happy with that setup... but I'll live with my new nForce2 mobo and XP2400+

Nice setup. Nice rendering setup if you had the right vid card. A quarto would make it smokin.
