What a RIPOFF !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

While getting tires installed on the car today annd having time to kill, I went to Target to get some dog stuff. While there I noticed they had expanded their computer ( parts, etc. ) dept. and found a 10 ft USB cable I've wanted to hook up my laptop while sitting on the couch. Anywho, it was marked $12.99 but at the checkout it was only $8.99. USB 2.0.
Went by Office Depot and the cheapest 10 footer was $24.99.
So let the buyer beware!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is amazing about prices on things at different places.

BTW a 10' USB for $8.99 wasn't a bad find

Sam's Club has been selling a pair of USB 1.0 cables for around $8 and a single USB cable at Best Buy was $25. While many places really mark down their hardware they soak you as much as possible for accessories and cables. If you're in a pinch you pay the high price at times. I try and wait if I can. Sometimes I have no choice but to pay that price if I really need the article today and only Best Buy is open.

I tend to buy cables and stuff like that when I find the deals, (SCSI cables can be murder at retail, and giveaways used) and that way I have them when I need 'em. But, I've been caught out on USB cables before and had to plunk down $25 at Beast Buy before, too.

Geeks is good for cheap cables.
Awhile back they had 6 foot USB cables for 0.99 cents (Doc's post) and the 10 footers for $1.49. I had some other stuff I was ordering and figured a half dozen of each should hold me for awile.
I wont order stuff like that by itself because of the high shipping cost but it's relativly cheap when adding them to an order.
