pc2700 on sale?

My abit mobo will not run 512 mb crucial pc2700 333mhz ram-I bought some off the shelf pny and it works fine-I need a gig and wonder if there are some great deals on anything but crucial-nice company-just incompatible for some reason

what mobo do you have?

is it nforce2 cause if you got the IGP(intergrated graphics) version then that explains it cause these are very picky on memory.

Amazing picky enough to regect crucial ram

I'm not for sure if the nforce2 mobos reject the crucial memory. On the nvidia site they have a chart with the different north and south bridge combinations and a bunch of ram they have tested. They put a check mark if they are compatable. Lots of no check marks on the IGP ones. The SPP ones had all check marks. Just a thought that I thought could help.
