Scanner Drivers?

Has anyone hooked up a Memorex 48 bit MEM48u
Ive tried to install with XP Pro.
It will not function?

hmmm, I think I have one of those, I havent opened it though cuz its for sale.

Is there anything on there website about any problems?

Did you do software first or plug the scanner up first? sometimes that makes a difference.

Does it show up in device manager?

One thing you might have to do in XP if there is a botched install is to restore to an earlier point and try again...I had to do that with a scanner when I accidently shut a laptop down halfway thru install, lol....it kept messing up even after I uninstalled it etc until I restored the system to an earlier point and then reinstalled.

I've tried to install drivers first
uninstall
install device first then drivers
uninstall
regedit
install device / dl drivers from web site / install drivers
The box says XP compatible?
What a pain in the keester

If anyone can recommend the correct install course of action
then I'll try it.

Today i bought the Mem 48u scanner for my XP machine.
It worked great for me.
Steps followed
1.)UNLOCK the scanner.
2.)Installed the DRIVERS.
3.)Plugged in the scanner.
4.)Started working....

Make sure you have UNLOCKED the scanner.

Hope it works for you.
