I do custom build PC's, specifically for gaming application. 99% of my business is by direct referral. I do not have a website, but have been offered free webspace, which I declined because my business is more of a hobby than needed for a living, it supports my own personal expensive taste for high-end technology; I could not possibly meet the demands that a website would generate, nor do I want to take it to that level, or even maintain a website.

Obviously, a website is important to you, so you need to have a very professional aesthetically pleasing opening webpage. You also need to draw interested customers to your site. Are you listed on GOOGLE? Are you a computer components reseller only, or do you do any kind of custom component fabrication or something else that sets you apart from all of ther other "me too's"?

Some of my work is unique, or considered "my signature". I have friends and business acquaintances who provide unique products or services, and I regularly make referrals to them. If you do not mind being associated with other businesses who provide products or services you may not find 'agreeable', you can acquire free webspace by allowing these to advertise and link to your website, and they will provide mutual links to your website from theirs; I personally would not align myself with these entities, but many smaller businesses do,- because leasing webspace on servers is too costly for them.

Do you maintain an inventory of product, or have arrangements with suppliers for them to drop ship directly to your customers? Maybe both: i.e. maintain some inventory based on projected demand, and/or purchase product as needed?

Well of coasre there's paying for advertising. And that can be pretty expensive but may be worth it. Email ScottW about advertising on this site. He will give you a qoute.

Apart from that you may want to create a community or support a specfic online community. EG: gamers or linux lovers. You know something like that. Supporting a community can be a lot of work tho.

Search engines. dmoz.org and google, to start.

Exchange links with other sites.

If the site for which you are asking advice is the site listed as your HomePage in your Profile, I would remove the script that automatically resizes the window to full screen. I personally HATE when a site/script does that and wouldn't shop there specifically BECAUSE of it

RUN dont walk, RUN to the mall or amazon or wherever you can get this book "multiple streams of internet income" by Robert Allen.....you will be glad you did....it has tonssssssss of ideas and principles of internet marketing. All kinds of stuff about website marketing, ezine marketing, and many ways to generate income. Its not one of those gimmicky things either, to me it looks like plain old solid marketing ideas but showing the power and benefit of the internet.

he has several books and one is called "multiple streams of income"...ive never read that one but the one I read is called "multiple streams of INTERNET income"..

here is his site http://www.multiplestreamsofincome.com/

You may even find the book in a local library which is where I check it out from time to time.

Here it is on amazon http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg...2233?vi=glance

for the money its well worth it.

dont think, just buy it, lol, JP

Don't just start advertising.... What you need to do is plan the work and work the plan.

Write a detailed and concise Marketing Plan and then put the plan to work. This will ensure that you are not wasting money, you are reaching your target audience by assessing ROI (return on investment) and finally allow you to ramp up your operations to meet the increased traffic and demands.

If you need more help just reply or send me and email. I will direct you the best I can.

I do have to agree with JOHN PROPHET.... Buy books

Your website looks good and is easy to navigate. It appears that you have a diverse product line, but while with some items you have a several name brands and currrent models,- you do not have that with some items such as the ATI Radeon 9700 Pro or AIW 9700 Pro; I assume that is because you are attempting to inventory only product that you can acquire at a competitive pricepoint/profit margin?
