The "Dell" experiance.

Hello,

I've just ordered a camera from dell with its free shipping and so on, the next day i got a e-mail saying they would send the camera "ON or BEFORE April 25th" (made order on the 11th of March) I was like man.. that could be a long time from now. I was wondering if anyone else had has experiance with dell and its free shipping, if it really took "that" long.

they always overestimate the time..in other words it shouldnt take that long. I think they choose to err on the conservative side.

Haha, thats good to know, cuz i dont want to wait like a whole month before the item is "just" sent out of their factories. =P

I have recieved systems in as little as 3 days and they said it would take like 2weeks I think they do it to cover their back side.

yes, a good practice in a way...MUCH better than the punks who promise you the moon but cant deliver. (like my ex boss)

My dell experience umm......don't ask, lets just say the pretty much screw ya on all levels

Yes, they definitely err on the safe side with shipping time estimates. My folk's desktop got there at least a weak early (I think more, but I can't remember for sure).
