Systems Very Disappointed with Computer Geeks...

This make me second purchase from Computer Geeks. While their prices are nothing short of fantastic, their handling of people leaves room to work on. Not sure how many of you remember my last issue with Computer Geeks, but last time I ordered from them, it was really messed up. The oreder sat in the "In Queue for Shipment" and after about a week, it was Cancelled. Mind you, I did not cancel the order.
Anyway, guess where my laptop order is setting... yep, In queue for Shipment... The site says the "try" to get your order out by 10:00 the same day. I have called and cannot get an answer on why my order hasn't shipped.I am thinking ahppy thoughts but it doesn't seem to be helping much.
has anybody else had a problem like this??? please don't think I am saying not to order from CompGeeks... just venting a little I guess...

I've only ordered a few spare parts from these guys, but everything went smoothly. Perhaps you could e-mail them that you'd really like to be able to say something nice about them on Resellerratings.com, if they would just make an effort to fulfill your order.

It's been at least a year since I ordered from them. I ordered a puter they had on a geek deal for a friend who didn't have much money and she was leaving for school. It took almost 3 weeks to get it and by the time I recieved it I had to drive 90+ miles to take it to her as she had already left. I tried to contact them about my order but never got a responce and one day it finally showed up.

I recently ordered a $100 webcam from them and tried to ship it directly to my gf, next day shipping as it was a gift. Well after five days in the queue I called them and they informed me that they could not ship to that address as it was not a verified address through VISA.

I promptly cancelled my order and placed it through newegg instead.

Now, why they did not make any effort to tell me this I am unsure, and was quite unhappy as it arrived about 6 days later than it should have.

Only good thing I can say about their service is that they were very fast in cancelling my order

Well, I have only had good experiences with them, both in ordering/shipping and in customer support. I realize (I work for a internet retailer) that things cannot be perfect all the time, but ComputerGeeks has always treated me well.

I ordered a lot of stuff from them in the summer and fall of 2001. Mostly ok but if you had a defective item they were impossible to get hold of. Often times put on hold for 15 or 20 minutes.

EDIT: the geeks got the asus boards again.

I've ordered a few stuffs from them and got them as expected but time is not their greatest asset. I don't mind waiting cause I found some great deals there. I always buy new products but a few used items to fix people's computers. I found an asus a7v133-c mobo there for $41.50 (oem boxed). I didn't need raid nor onboard craps. Got it a couple of days ago and I'm real happy with it. I got an xp1700 palo in shipment now from newegg. By the way, when I got the mobo it has the latest bios all ready for xps. Last I looked the asus mobos are gone.

Yeah Speed is the Geeks weakest point, use FEDEXp instead cause UPS will leave stuff in the Calif warehouse for up to a week.

I've ordered about a hundred times, they have muffed up a time or two but fixed it pronto.

When I e-mail a company, I don't expect it to get read for up to a week, business is business and things get really backed up when using e-mail.

Sorry to hear of the problem, hopefully they'll work out.

Wow! These guys rate a 2.5 on their resellerratings rap sheet for returns and for tech support!
Guess they figure that the deal is done once they get the money.
