Need good DVD-rw deal
I have been seeing them on occasion for 4130 after rebate etc.
Saw a deal at officemax a few days ago but when I try to click on it its not there.
Where can I get one of these for $139-$149 with rebates etc
Naturally I would prefer a 4x.
Anyone seen any deals??
JP

Know someone who picked up a 4x at officemax yest, in store for 169.99. Not an option for me though, closest is 3 hours away. I could use a link to a good online deal too. Staples DOES have the 4x cendyne back in stock if anyone has stackable coupons and rebates they'd share.

J:
I think that's the DVR-104 2x burner, if I'm not mistaken. Seems like Staples had the DVR-105 4x on sale two or three weeks ago.
OM and Staples are getting smart, and remove those sale items from the web, or make them "in-store" deals, so us bargain hunters can't add a discount coupon.
Personally, I'm waiting for a Dell 15% off peripherals sale, so I can get a 4x TDK (DVD+R/RW) shipped for $234. Would be nice to catch a one-day 25% off sale.
John - the 4x models are still fairly new ; it will be hard to get one under $200. Saw one at Newegg, a 4x Mitsumi for $217.

I could not order online either. But I did print the OfficeMax online $50 off $250 coupon page and took it to my local B&M OfficeMax store and talked the manager into honoring the online coupon since there is no way to order it online. We have two local OM stores. It worked at one but not at the other. It is currently at $169.99 after rebates. The drive I got shows up as a Pioneer DVR-105 (4X burner) in my system.

So is that coupon good or not??
When I clicked on it before it simply said the promo had ended, so how in the world did you get them to take it??

J-E:
Was that a blue and white box(2x), or the green/white/red(4x) box? Just curious, because it's the blue/white 2x that was advertised. Maybe you got a better deal than what you were supposed to get. I would also check the SKU and UPC codes to make sure they match up properly with the rebate.
Something sounds a little screwy here, that's why I'm asking.
Thanks.

I got a 4X. Don't remember the colors but the box says 4X and the drive shows up as a DVR-105. My rebate has been approved, just waiting on the check. I think there is a MIR for both the 2X and 4X. Not sure about the OfficeMax instant rebate though. I might stop on my way home and check it out.
Even though I got a 4X I've only bought 1X media so far. It's a lot cheaper and it's not a major PIA yet to wait an hour for a DVD to burn.

Here's the skinny. My local OM doesn't have the 2X burner; they have the 4X. It's $269.99 - $50 MIR = $219.99. There is no instant rebate on the 4X. I couldn't find the rebate slip so you might want to verify that there is still a rebate on the 4X. If they let you use the $50 off $250 coupon that takes it down to $169.99 for the 4X.
