Gaming

Yesterday I was at City of Industry's Fry's looking for some RAM and CDRs.

I noticed the stack of K7S5A Pro boards they had were all "returns" with those white return stickers on top. When I bought the $99 XP2100+K7S5A Pro combo last week, the board was NOT a returned item. I hope they aren't trying to screw their costumers...

You might want to watch out for returned/refurb K7S5A Pro boards THIS time around or the next few times to come.

To spot a returned item, look for a white sticker that has a handwritten date and a signature on it. The sticker should say something about the item being once opened or returned, and that it has the same warranty as a "new" item.

It could be just City of Industry's store, though...

No, this is actually at all the Fry's. I work for one of Fry's competitors and frequently check their stores to see if they've undercut us. I work out in City of Industry, actually, but have seen Fry's near Burbank and also Anaheim (off of the 91 freeway, Tustin Ave.)

I was actually talking about that particular combo deal, whether the board included is refurb-only this time.

I just found it strange that all of the ECS boards in the stack were refurbs...
