Yes, watch out in the Sacramento Fry's, they do the same thing.
They are rather crafty with what they try... Just keep your eyes open and be careful, before they get you!

i see nothing about refurb on the boards i bought from the sacrmento fry's(is it north gate blvd?)
i do see a small white tag on the side stating the usual price for the board
you will need to talk to a sales rep to get the paper work for it to include the processor
have fun
and i had a friend with me so i picked up 2 each
the xp2000
and the 1.7 celeron

Yeah, that's what happened when I got my AMD XP 2100+ .. They print it up and go and fetch it for you.
Probably because people either pocket CPU/RAM and run off, or they just break the item and give it back to the sales person saying "Sorry, I changed my mind"
People are naturally very rude.

LOL When I got my 2100+ with some other stuff we had rebates.. They are chaotic. The lines are so long, the lady had to walk about 50 feet just to get our rebate receipts.
Ahhh well, it happens.

Fry's is a fun store. It's so chaotic in there. lol

Last week it was the XP2100+ combo for $99 and now it is the XP2000+ combo for $109?

Considering newegg has that CPU for $79, it is like getting the mobo for $30 plus almost $10 in sales tax that I wouldn't be paying with newegg.

Hmmm, not nearly as compelling. It is so easy to have a love-hate relationship with Fry's.

Last week it was such a no-brainer and this week it is relatively easy to pass on it. I need another CPU but not really another mobo. CRUD! Fry's give me a screaming no-brainer of a deal, please!
