Kids Good sound card/speakers?

I'd like to buy a decent setup for listening to music from my PC. My current on-board sound and $10 speakers just don't cut it when it comes to music. I don't game (except for the occasional Flight Sim or Sim City), so that's not a consideration. I also don't want to spend more than $100 for the card and speakers. Any suggestions?

Thanks.

Errrr...Limited budget, eh? Well, the Logitech Z-X40 series is definitely your cheap price solution for speakers that still sound good. I don't know a good cheap sound card. I have an SBlive, DON'T GET THAT ONE.

Well.. if $100 is your limit, I'd suggest a Turtle Beach Santa Cruz with Logitech Z-340 speakers. If you look around, you should be able to get both for at or less than $100 total. Newegg would get you close.

Edit: Newegg's total for the two comes to $108: Santa Cruz - $62 + free shipping; Z-340 - $36 + $10 shipping. If you can afford to wait a few weeks, chances are pretty good that some place will have rebates on them giving you a significantly better total.

Thanks, folks. Sounds like the Logitechs are the way to go. I've had bad luck in the past with Sound Blaster (I always thought the SB stood for something much less complimentary ). I think I'll go with EC's recommendation there. Now I just have to figure out which of my current PCI cards I can live without.
