Dell Dimension 2350

Please Don't Flame me!!! This is for my wife and she does not want me to build her a computer. I did talk her out of the WalMart HP computer but now she wants this one!

http://configure.us.dell.com/dellsto...=D23TVF&view=1

It is $599 after mail-in Rebate

P4 2.0Ghz
30Gig Hard Drive (not 7200)
256MB DDR SDRAM
16x DVD
19" Monitor
????????Intergrated Graphics ???????????

Does anyone know anything about the intergrated Graphics that Dell uses?????? That is the only part I don't like.

I saw in the recent dell small business catalog that most of those systems had some kind of intel integrated graphics.

The Intel integrated graphics that Dell uses for their 2350's should be more than sufficient, unless your wife is a gamer - otherwise it should be more than suitable.

what's to flame?

the dell system is designed for entry/mid-level, general use...the onboard video isn't meant to play games on. the drawback is that there is no agp slot on the mobo which limits the video 'upgradeability' of the system if you need higher end video power.

are you absolutely sure about the price though...you're quoting $599 and you're saying that includes a 19" monitor? i checked the site and configured the same system and the only way to get to the $599 after rebate price is if you order the system with NO monitor.

because if no display is what you want, then the better deal would be this one...

http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...u=h24-1828%20p

which is the same cpu but double the ram, and more than double the hd space.

if you're certain about that final price, i'd say you're good to go then.

If you click on my 'Linky' at the top it shows the FREE Monitor and The FREE Memory upgrade. I will let you know because I'm going to order it tonight and if it is not there at "Checkout" I will give Dell a call.

Thanks for your Reply

Step up to the Dimension 4500 series and you'll have a real video card.

If you can wait, it's about time for Dell to come out with some great bargains, it happens about 3 times a year, or more.
