19" Staples Envision Monitor Question

I am looking to buy the 19" CRT flat screen monitor from Staples.
It's $199, but I have a $30 off code, so it's $169. My question is this:
Is this monitor on sale often (w/ or w/o rebates). Will I get a better deal than the $169, or should I just buy it?

I have the envision 19 from staples and actually that's a reasonable price; you have to accept limited refresh rates etc. though. I play fps games and haven't noticed a problem but I was warned at staples that I'd be unhappy as a gamer - so far I like it. Just my two cents so to speak.

bootoo - apparently you've got a different monitor than the one george is looking at. I'm looking on the staples site right now, and the 19" flat screen Envision that sells for $199 can do 1600x1200@75Hz according to their website. That's not a bad refresh rate at all. In fact, that's quite good. I've got the 17" version of this monitor, and I really like it.

First of all you dont want to use a 30 off 15o coupon..you want to use a 40 off 200 and buy something with the 199 monitor like paper clips to make it go over 200 so the coupon kicks in.

Also they have rebates from time to time on those 19inchers and if you are not in a big hurry you can get em for 129 or so from staples...I have two of them.

if you lived near me I would sell you one of mine....Im not sure what shipping would run on a big 19 incher.

I'm not familiar with the 19" but I've bought several of the 17's. The 17's come in 2 different versions, 710e and 775e. The first is .27 dpi and the 2nd is .21 dpi with a FLAT screen. So the 19's may come in more than one version also. They are nice monitors for the money and have a 3 year warranty.

You guys are all right; I just checked the staples sight and I have the flatscreen monitor. I liked it, I saw it, I bought it knowing if it had problems I could give it to my kid. Probably the guy at staples was talkin about the lower end monitor but I never pay much attention to folks at staples unless they tell me something's returned a lot.

My reason for asking is this:
I have two of the 17" Envisions. I got them at Staples last month, and after rebates and codes, they cost me $69 dollars each. I want to know if they ever do promotions on the 19" models. My HP MX75 is acting up, and I think it's time for a new one. (It's only 18 months old, but oh well...).

These are great monitors and are good deals evan at the $199 price. But if I can get one for $120, I have no problem waiting.

Thanks in advance...
John

http://www.staplesrebates.com/weblog...omoCd=03-54680

you just missed a 30 rebate on the en985 monitor, but Im not sure if thats the one you are looking at.

Anyway...199 - 40 off 200 - 30 rebate = 129 plus tax etc.

But these deals will return...like I said, I have two envision 19inchers still boxed up...I think I paid 120-130 for them.

I saw the 19" deal about 3 weeks ago or a month but I ignore them now since I have two that I dont know what to do with already, lol.

If you like the monitor and are in a hurry check #9software. I think about $170 shipped.
