Kids MSIBESTBUY: Anyone used them?

I'm looking to buy some Samsung PC2700 DDR memory, and on Pricewatch a new name has spruing up: MSIBESTBUY. Because I know there are genuine Samsung, and 3rd-party-with-Samsung-chips, I was wondering if anyone had ordered from this company or knew anything about them. THe web-page has little info, but the price is good.

Thanks
Peter

Heh. Probably after a nasty letter from Best Buy's lawyers.

I was looking at this company as well.
I need 3 XP1700's and at $48.00 shipped that would save me $21.00 versus Newegg.
Not a big deal (money wise) but it's alway's nice to have several reputable suppliers to chose from.
I dislike being a gueni pig though.

I don't like being the test case either. And it makes me nervous that they do business with four names (MSI bestbuy, Computer MSI, MSI computer, and Buyonline, Inc.) but NONE of them are shown on resellerratings.com!

heh, I'll just wait a little more or buy from NewEgg, they treat you right and I HATE getting embattled with an online company.

I gave them another look today, the $48.00 cpu is in fact $56.00.
I have to pass, to many things I saw poking around there site I didn't like.
Quite a few price mismatches to there listings at Pricewatch.

Don't EVER buy there

I got trapped to them through Pricewatch. MSIComputers had a real good and tempting offer on DDR Ram.
So I went ahead and ordered, wish I had never done that. Here is the story:
I ordered on 6/13/03 my Credit card was charged immediatly for the entire amount and I was supposed to recieve an e-mail confirmation with shipping info etc etc (standard stuff one would think). Useless to say: I NEVER received any e-mail. After a few days I called and asked for the shipping information, but noone was able to help me. After another call I finally received my shipping info over the phone and I was calmed down.
Could not wait to receive the memory and when it finally arrived guess what: it was not the memory I ordered. It was 2 sticks of 256 DDR 2100 instead of 2 sticks 512 DDR 2700. Immediatly I called (again LD) and told them about the error. <- this is where the whole problem starts. I was told to ship it right back with UPS and give them the tracking number and they would overnight the correct memory (that sounded very reasonable - errors can happen-) and I did as I was told. When I called back with the tracking number noone wanted it and they told me I have to wait until they received the memory. So I waited until I saw that the package received it's destination. When it finally did, I called again. They told me they did not receive the package, when I got upset and said I have proof I was told that they looked at the wrong account and that they will ship the memory and I should receive an e-mail with tracking etc etc. Again nothing. The next day yet another call to FL and I was asked for x time to give my phonenumber and I will get a call back with tracking number. Useless to say... no call ... I called again and after some threats I then received a call later the evening that "the transaction did not go through" what tthe heck they try to charge me again ???? Immediatly I called back and I was told that they can not ship the memory since they can not process my Credit Card (keep in mind the amount was already charged) I really got upset and gave them the whole spill again. I was once again asked for my phonenumber and promised a call. which I have not received as of now. They even had the guts to tell me again that they have not received the memory and I have to ship it back before they can do anything. After a few more threats guess what ? "ooops I looked at the wrong account " I was told, and after I was again asked for my phonenumber I was once again promised a call. Considering that they have my money in their account, I had to pay shipping twice and numerous calls to FL, I could have bought very good memory for less aggrevation and about the same amount. I am planning on having them shut down completely. I am so mad and recommend anyone who had simiar experiences with them to come forward .

They are a local company down here in South Florida....they are at the monthly computer show in Ft Lauderdale. Locally the prices are average. I have never purchased anything from them as they mainly sell barebone systems at the show. I do know one person who had big problems trying to return a system that had a dead motherboard.
