Help, i've been robbed
Hey, this is my first time posting to this forum, but I'm really lost and in need of help and guidance. I've never really used resellerratings before and now I can't see how i ever lived without it so if i do something wrong like posting this in the wrong forum, please don't flame me.
Anywayz, I bought 512mb 2700Samsung mem stick from ghzcomputers.com. They required paypal payment which i thought was weird, but i did it anyway and it was approved and sent through almost immediately. A month later I had not received it and when i went to the website, they said that they had had a fire in their main office. Well I kept waiting and finally I decided to cancel the order, but I could not contact anybody by e-mail or by phone, no matter how much or how hard i tried. Finally, I went through paypal and filled out a buyer complaint form in order to try to get my money back. Paypal investigated and ruled in my favor, but was unable to get my money back. Now i'm out $100 that I can not afford. I really needed that RAM for my new computer for my IT classes, and had been saving up for a looooong time. I'm a starving college student who can't afford to lose this money and this has really hit me hard. Any ideas or guidance would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks a lot everybody

i'm afraid that it is HIGHLY unlikely that you will ever get your money back. unlike credit card purchases which have a type of 'built-in' fraud protection, paypal is a money-transfer service. in fact, paypal doesn't even come under state & gov't banking laws because they are not that type of institution.
you can file complaints with the BBB ad other agencies, but the short answer is your money is GONE!
next tmie your instincts tell you something is weird, you might want to check things through.

Unfortunately he's not the only one making complaints http://www.resellerratings.com/seller4143.html
Is it possible, well yes all of the complaints are recent.. but its obvious they're still not keeping up their end of the bargain.
Is it possible they've been 'down to due to fire' ever since the website opened? Yep!

go to circuit city. www.circuitcity.com They have wonderful prices on memory. I'm running memory from them in one of my computers, and it works fine. No problems in 2 years.
