Kids Barebones AMD Athlon XP?

Anyone know where I can get a good deal on a barebones AMD Athlon XP 2400+ or higher? I have PC2100 DDR memory. I just would like the case, motherboard and processor, I have everything else.

I am not an expert but if you are going to use an XP2400+ shouldn't you have PC2700 or PC3200? I think your memory is going to be the week link.

My vote for mobo is Epox EP-8RDA, RDA+ or RGA+ depending on the options you need. You didn't mention video card so I would assume you want integrated video which means the RGA+. But, the graphics are based on MX440 which is a bit dated.

Try newegg.com or tcwo.com for mobo and CPU. Cases are all over the place. Newegg always has some on sale.

Here is the one I want:

not a hundred percent on this, but I think the 2500 bartons, and select 2600+ thoroughbreds have the 333fsb. pretty sure the 2400s and below are still 266. As for the bare bones deal I don't know, but check out newegg, they're usually good with prices and have top notch shipping and service.

the only reason to buy a barebones --is to have someone else clip the heatsink to the cpu
dont be a real man and just read the directions
you will do fine

I agree with jdurbin, you should be running at least pc2700 memory. A good board to take advantage of the memory is the ASUS A7V8X.
