I looked at a refill package,

It consisted of a 10ml syringe, ( available at work ), a blunt needle (also at work ) and a bottle of ink ( available at the stationers.

So I refilled my own carts ( HP printers )

It was messy. It was time consuming. It worked!

These days, I just buy new HP carts, easier all round.

Epson has been changing their original chips so some resetters won't work with them any longer. With these chips you never have to worry about Epson changing their programming. These chips can be used indefinitely

I've used this business for refilling HP's.

No complaints on service or product.

These guys have a continuous ink doodad for some Epson inkjets that's a little pricey. Continuous ink seems sorta analagous to continuous air in paintball - no need to waste time refilling or changing cartridges. Plus they have some cool inks for b&w and archival printing as well. Never bought anything from them so I can't comment on their service.

I have the "Mr. Inkjet" kit that I use for my Canon Multipass C5000 and C5500.
I bought the (black) kit back in 1999 for $20.00.
I still have half the bottle left (12 oz) and have not had a single problem with it or the results from refilled carts.
As a matter of fact I still use carts that were bought back in 99 with no problems. Very worthwhile investment, unlike some of the kits i've seen that have a small (4 oz) bottle of ink.
I have never tried to refill the color carts, for the work involved I would rather buy them and be done with it.

I bought a refill kit once. Once. Last time I'll ever do that. The refilled cartridges often failed to work correctly, it's messy and with the proliferation of generic cartridges, it's not worth the money.

I stopped refilling as well. The refills seemed to dry out no matter what I did (tried to sealed the hole with tape, hot glue and shoe goo, put the cartridge into a zip lock bag). Based on my experience, I think it actually cost more money to refill since the refilled cartridge doesn't print out nearly as many pages as a new cartridge.
